May Day, a tradition dating back to pre-Christian times and before Coachella, ringing in summer with a festival of flowers. And before summer games included beer-pong, the maypole was danced around as I first witnessed during the first season of Man Men. Since then I have made it a personal goal to observe the proper celebration first hand which I am currently getting my floral arrangement in crown from as I type. And just because I'm a little late to the flower-crown party doesn't mean I won't stick to theme party attire regulations, this being Flower Power of course. This Tanya Taylor frock just screamed 'derby but without a hat in a friend's yard' which I am going to equivocate to this sort of celebration, where there'll be patent but no church (synagogue or temple) affiliates present enough to make me feel weary about a chunky slice of rib cage showing. Definitely weather apropos and with a hem long enough print cutesy to excuse that aforementioned skin hanging out. Otherwise, if you had any doubts about wearing this one-sleeve-wonder, drink a julep or two and let it all hang out.
