Some shirts are pretty smart, and who doesn't like to look smart? A graphic tee is one of my favorite things to layer under a funky jacket like so. But they are great on their own this spring with a printed pencil skirt, like this Peter Pilotto one that's on sale, or some distressed painted denim shorts.
On to the blondie, brownie story - it's a story as classic as Betty & Veronica, Dionne and Cher, Joan Jett and Carrie Currie. Two rockin' chicks, two different hair hues, form one awesome friendship. A ying and yang if you will. Lynds of L.Avenue and I go way back: in a time long, long, ago, Lyndsey was a new-to-Houston-transplant via Ohio. She would shop at Tootsies, where I had recently started as a stylist. As time went on, she'd come in to get cocktail dresses, vacation ensembles, and work wardrobes. Styling someone, you get a glimpse into their life already, but Lyndsey would invite me out, starting out a lasting camaraderie. Since then, she's invited me to start blogging, start a non-profit calendar and launch party, and to help drink a major number of bottles of wine - a really good friend. So this Pam & Gela shirt is spot on, except every brownie needs a blondie by their side too.
