I've been a scrooge off and on in my adult life. As a young girl I fought the holiday spirit war by trying to get a Christmas trees into my Jewish household. I lost that battle year after year, and when I moved out on my own finally got a tree of my own. I tried that for a while, but without family tradition the Christmas effort seemed shallow. Now, I'm realizing that there are plenty of holiday-half-assers (I mean that in the best way possible) that make a gentle nod toward the holiday, striking somewhere between Santa and scrooge - no tree, no lights, but no bah-humbugs either. Rather than shaking my fist in irritation that the whole city is closed, I'm enjoy to the parties that I'v been invited to that I don't have to host. Anyway, it's a paid holiday, so I'll celebrate that.
Dipping my toe into the red and green water, I got into this fresh-from-resort '15 shirt from House Of Holland as well as a brand new Spring '15 green jacket from Pam & Gela, topped off with a personalized necklace of Raj's dog. It's very 'wild animal does a tropical Christmas' which is exactly how I want to be.
